Charles asks…

Can any one find the old version to yahootoolbar pop blocker?

This new yahoo toolbar sucks. I don’t like it at all. I wish there was some way of downloading the old one instead of the new yahoo toolbar. The new yahootoolbar does not have the anti spyware. Or that, it’s just unorganized. I think that once yahoo toolbar has upgraded a new version. Google has copied yahootoolbar old version. I just hope that yahoo brings back the old version of yahootoolbar. Any one know a site where I can download the old version of yahootoolbar the old version? Not yahoo messnger. Just yahootoolbar with the old version that has the anti spyware.

softwareguru answers:

I agree with you about Version 7 of the Yahoo toolbar. Portability is gone and Bookmarks are a joke; however, even if you could find V 6.3.6 of the toolbar, I would not use it because it is no longer supported and there are better ways to get around the problems. Yahoo! Has a Yahoo! Toolbar Suggestion Board. You might find the posts interesting:
On the issue of the pop-up blocker, Yahoo! Put the pop-up blocker on their toolbar to support IE versions that didn’t have one. Since Windows XP SP2 added a pop-up blocker to IE, you don’t need one on the toolbar. Anti-spy is alive and well on Version 7 of the toolbar. Click Settings, click Add/Edit buttons, select Button Gallery and then Category All Buttons and add the Anti-Spy button. Then on the Anti-Spy button, click Launch Anti-Spy and the software will be downloaded.
